Doug Mitchell is the founder of Mir, Mitchell & Company, L.L.P., the first of the MMC companies beginning operations in 1991. In subsequent years, Mr. Mitchell personally incubated several new start-ups, each focusing on a particular industry sector or service specialty. Each company has enjoyed continuous operation since inception. Mr. Mitchell's entrepreneurial spirit and keen financial acumen has played a key role in the success of the companies now referred to as MMC.

Prior to starting Mir, Mitchell & Company, Mr. Mitchell served as the National Contracting Officer for Grant Thornton, a global accounting, tax and business advisory organization. While there, he led the design and implementation of the firm's government approved contract cost accounting system. In addition, he was extensively involved in the project management and administration of large, multi-office engagements for the public sector. This included the firm's largest public accounting services contract, encompassing more than one million person-hours and 22 subcontracting firms.

Before Mr. Mitchell moved to Grant Thornton, he worked for the Government Telecommunications Group of Rockwell International (now Boeing Integrated Defense Systems). He was responsible for all government liaison work with respect to fiscal policies and procedures for the group. Mr. Mitchell also worked at RCA Corporation as a Senior Contract Negotiator, responsible for the negotiation and administration of various stateside and overseas government contracts, including those of the Departments of Defense, Labor, Commerce and NASA.

Mr. Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.
